The Die Is Rolled

from Separation Anxiety (33min album) by John Zonn

/

about

Where can we start with this one? It's a long, drawn-out goodbye between an alien and his Canadian buddy. This track and the next one celebrate the song 'Calling Occupants Of Interplanetary Craft', originally by the band Klaatu (and made famous by The Carpenters). This prologue to the main song - the next one on this album - represents an anxious termination to the alien's stay on Earth - they really did land on this planet, y'know, back in the early 1970s! The background music is a repeat of a sequence of notes, played on 'virtual' keyboard, via the internet.
