I call to Alexa,
Every one’s favourite friend,
And I ask her a question,
That does not have an end.
I exit the house,
I’m in ‘solo’ mode,
Pedestrian Button,
Helps me crossing the road.
I stop off in town,
At an ATM,
It tells me ‘money is freedom’,
And I’m happy again.
There’s a van going backwards,
I hear it loudly say,
A comforting message,
To keep out of its way.
I‘m glad I live in Electric Land,
Where everything we need’s on-hand,
Where wireless is fidelity,
And anger is an energy.
I go down the shop,
And I pick up a basket,
Fill it right to the top,
How I love this supermarket!
When I get to the counter,
I am faced with a choice,
Twixt a human with hands,
Or a machine with a voice.
So, I make a decision,
Based on what has been said,
By the emotion detector,
That joins the wires in my head.
Then I scan in the items,
And I make them go ‘beep’,
With the help of assistants,
Who walk around in their sleep.
I‘m glad I live in Electric Land,
Where everything we need’s on-hand,

And anger is an energy.
We all live in Electric Land,
Where everything goes just as planned,
Sometimes the current is too strong,
